SQAIRZ Baseball Training Shoes
For years, players have tried to gain a significant advantage by looking at launch angle, on plane efficiency, and spin rates to maximize their power output as a hitter. Until recently, the “Big Jump” that every player seeks, has eluded a lot of athletes. The truth is that it has been underneath them all along.
Development
iD Evolution has quickly become the center for Ground Force Pressure in Baseball and Softball research and development. Through a partnership with Rapid Sports, iD Evolution has developed teaching techniques and principles that allow the player to create recoil and generate a massive amount of Kinetic Energy from the ground by pressing through the correct toe and heel of the back foot in the stance. That energy is then stored in the gluteus maximus and delivered to the ball through the Kinematic Sequence.
Process
- Screen the athlete for their biomechanical strengths and weaknesses with the use of Rapid Sports and the iD Evolution PEP system.
- Diagnose and assign the proper teaching cues.
- Create and assign drills that target both the strengths and the weaknesses.
- Check the balance and direction for the player with the mat interactive drills.
- Reassess athlete.
iD Evolution Study
To determine whether the SQAIRZ Baseball Training shoe makes an impact, the player’s exit velocities are measured using video analysis and the Rapsodo Ball Flight Tracking Unit. The player’s measurements are recorded while using both traditional round-toed shoes and then again with SQAIRZ Baseball Training Shoes.
In multiple controlled studies, the SQAIRZ Baseball Training shoes showed an improvement over two rounds of twenty swings in the cage of 2.6 mph in standard exit velocity. This could be correlated to the hypothesis that if a player can remain balanced and in a power position, the greater the power output and exit velocity can be generated. The SQAIRZ Baseball Training shoes showed the greatest ability to stay connected throughout the entire Kinematic Sequence of the swing. This finding was validated through the usage of video and pressure mat analysis using the Rapid-Sports Pro Capture software. Based upon these studies, the SQAIRZ Baseball Training shoes group showed that the players can increase the amount of Kinetic Energy transferred to the ball over traditional round-toed shoes.
